PP 1 - 17/1 IDIDNTMEANTOO(ENG) ID# 8943A Darling ( 81 - 16 - 6 - 8 - 20% )

5 Year Old Mare (PIVOTAL(GB) x GIANT'S CAUSEWAY (IRE) x SEATTLE SLEW)

Representing the Blazing Saddles residency and from the Desperado stables comes our first entry. Ididntmeantoo comes into this race off a nice winning prep in an allowance race last start out which was over a yielding turf. She has 3 wins at 10 furlongs and under from 3 tries on the yielding turf. Her chances in todays race wouldve increased greatly if the turf came up yielding but unfortunately there was no chance of rain and the turf is firm. She has a 4th place finish in a G2 and a 2nd place finish in a G1 so she will be competitive on firm turf but will need to fire her best race to win.

PP 2 - 17/1 ENTANGLEMENT(AUS) ID# 107458C Warrick ( 7 - 0 - 1 - 2 - 0% )

4 Year Old Filly (REDOUTE'S CHOICE (AUS) x SEEKING THE GOLD x DANEHILL)

Entanglement represents the Great Plains Residency and comes from the stable of Rockriver. She has already raced twice this year scoring in her first race and coming in sixth in her last race which was on yielding turf. She has yet to run at todays distance of 10 furlongs and shows speed in most of her races so I expect to her to be close to the pace. This is a hard race to make your graded stakes debut but if she can set a soft pace and handle the extra distance she might be able to get a piece of the pie.

PP 3 - 45/1 IMPERIAL MAJESTY(KY) ID# 173593A Farley ( 9 - 0 - 4 - 1 - 0% )

4 Year Old Filly (SHAKESPEARE x HIS MAJESTY x CROWNED PRINCE)

Imperial Majesty represents the Ohio residency and comes from the stable of Mr Luckys. She has one start this year in a starter allowance race in which she finished second. Imperial Majesty is a former claimer and has been competitive in starter allowances since being claimed for 5000. She is making her graded stakes debut today and also stretching out to 10 furlongs for the first time. She will likely be part of the lively pace scenario.

PP 4 - 20/1 ANTIGUA(IRE) ID# 116541C Shoemaker ( 102 - 24 - 28 - 13 - 24% )

7 Year Old Mare (THEATRICAL(IRE) x SHIRLEY HEIGHTS(GB) x NIJINSKY II)

Antigua represents the Queensland residency and comes from the stable of Hawkz. She has made one start this year and finished a distant 13th 22 lengths behind the winner. Her prior form before that distant finish is not bad and she has a couple of triple digit speed figure wins in listed stakes at 9 & 9.5 furlong races. If she bounced back from her last race she will have a minor chance at a placing today.

PP 5 - 11/1 DEPTH CHARGER(JPN) ID# 159597 M Wallace (106 -36 -18 - 18 - 34%)

4 Year Old Filly (DEEP IMPACT x DIESIS(GB) x COZZENE)

Depth Charger represents the Comedy Central residency and comes from the stable of Goldsmith. As a three year old she competed in some of the toughest grade ones for three year old fillies and hung with them. While she never got that grade 1 win she did finish 2nd and 3rd in two grade one races and won the grade two The Blue Dahlia. She has raced twice so far this year finishing second in her first start and then a non-threatening 7th last race out in the Sunny Millions F&M Turf which may have been too short for her liking. She likes to sit close to the pace so if she can relax and not get caught in a speed duel she will have a good shot to win.

PP 6 - 11/1 GAI(KY) ID# 120390N Armstrong ( 107 - 29 - 20 - 17 - 27% )

6 Year Old Mare (CRYPTOCLEARANCE x SADLER'S WELLS x HABITAT)

Gai represents the Midas residency and comes from the stable of Tulloch. Gai has made one start this year prepping in the G2 Buck Dharma Handicap where she finished fourth. She had a couple of graded stakes wins last year at 10.5 furlongs and has been more successful at longer distances. While I think she would prefer longer distances than todays 10 furlongs she has been competitive when raced at 10 furlongs having finished third in the G1 Rich and Famous Handicap.

PP 7 - 13/1 NORTHERN STARS(IRE) ID# 101310 H McCoy (95 - 27 - 11 - 16 - 28%)

5 Year Old Mare (MONTJEU (IRE) x KINGMAMBO x KRIS S.)

Northern Stars represents the Pastures of Green Residency and comes from the stable of Dixiedotco. She prepped for this race in a 10 furlong allowance event which she won in gate to wire fashion. She only started her racing career as a 4 year old and has been moving steadily up the ranks from allowance to stakes competition. As a 4 year old she raced 17 times and her best win came in the G2 The Beat Up Ford at 10 furlongs. This is another mare that likes to race close to the lead so the pace scenario might be an issue for this mare.

PP 8 - 18/1 SALUTE THE OIL(AUS) ID# 167014 P Munoz ( 104 - 25 - 17 - 20 - 24% )

4 Year Old Filly (REDOUTE'S CHOICE (AUS) x CHARISMATIC x SADLER'S WELLS)

Salute the Oil represents the East-West Connection Residency and comes from the stable of LordPye. She has raced twice so far in the new year and has a first place finish in an allowance race and a second place finish in the G2 Horse Station Stakes. She has been on the improve lately running four straight triple digit speed figures and not finishing worse than second at distances from 9 to 9.5 furlongs. If those are her magic distances she may not do well today since the race is at 10 furlongs but there is also the chance that she is still maturing and might like 10 furlongs as an older mare.

PP 9 - 10/1 VENGEANCE OF PAIN(ENG) ID# 175336 W McClendon (102 -33 -19-24 -32% )

4 Year Old Filly (GENEROUS(IRE) x SADLER'S WELLS x A.P. INDY)

Vengeance of Pain is one of two 2009 eclipse award winners in todays field and represents the Del Penn National residency and comes from the stable of Texasace. She prepped for this race by finishing second in a listed stakes at 9 furlongs. As a three year old she beat her elders in the G1 Breeders Bowl F&M Turf at 10 furlongs and scored another G1 win at 12 furlongs. She seems to rate nicely in her races so the hot pace scenario might benefit this horse greatly. I think she had a great prep for this race as you dont want to race too fast before the big race and bounce. If she came up sharp this week she could be the one to beat.

PP 10 - 29/1 PALACE STATION(KY) ID# 85657F Duffy ( 105 - 35 - 21 - 12 - 33% )

5 Year Old Mare (THEATRICAL(IRE) x SADLER'S WELLS x TWO PUNCH)

Palace Station represents the Northwest Racing Circuit residency and comes from the stable of Roys. This will be her 2nd race after a 2 month layoff and her first start off the layoff was not bad finishing 2nd against allowance company. All of her 7 wins came between distances of 9 and 10 furlongs so todays distance should not be a problem for this horse. Her deep closing style should help in a field that has plenty of speed and will be looking to pass the pacesetters down the stretch.

PP 11 - 10/1 NATIVE IP(KY) ID# 16034U Greenleaf ( 11 - 4 - 0 - 0 - 36% )

5 Year Old Mare (KINGMAMBO x A.P. INDY x OUR NATIVE)

Native Ip represents Minnesota Downs and comes from the stable of Dundey. This will be Native Ips third start this year after previously finishing 1st and 5th. All but one of her wins have come in gate to wire fashion and the one win which she did not win gate to wire was the first start of her career. That is going to make it very tough on this mare as there are several other pace horses in todays race. She has several wins at 10 furlongs so distance should not be a problem for this mare.

PP 12 - 22/1 AQUAFRESHA(KY) ID# 170835B Bauder ( 79 - 13 - 19 - 14 - 16% )

4 Year Old Filly (NORTH LIGHT (IRE) x CARSON CITY x PLEASANT COLONY)

Aquafresha represents the Benelux residency and comes from the stable of Stal Landen. As a three year old she captured two graded stakes races the G3 Cleopatra and the G1 Japanese Oaks. Both of those races were longer than todays race so while she is certainly fast enough and has enough class to compete today she may want to go further than todays distance of 10 furlongs, though her closing style should work to her advantage today with a likely hot pace developing.

PP 13 - 7/1 SKULLCRUSHER(KY) ID# 132118J Caves ( 108 - 27 - 21 - 15 - 25% )

6 Year Old Mare (AWESOME AGAIN x A.P. INDY x SADLER'S WELLS)

Skullcrusher represents the GR Simsters residency and comes from the stable of Given. She comes into todays race off an easy prep in an allowance race which seems to be the prep of choice for most contenders today. She is looking to avenge her second place finish in the Breeders Bowl F&M turf against Vengeance of Pain today. Aside from her second place finish in the BB race she had 2 graded stakes win last year and in her last 12 races she has run triple digit speed figures. She should be right there at the finish though its hard to tell if 10 furlongs is her preferred distance as she hasnt won at that distance since 8/08.

PP 14 - 91/1 THIEF OF NOIR(IRE) ID# 175391A Stewart ( 16 - 2 - 1 - 5 - 13% )

4 Year Old Filly (MANDURO x CAT THIEF x SEATTLE SLEW)

Thief of Noir is the longest shot in todays field and represents the Ireland Residency and comes from the stable of AlexanderJ. She is lightly raced and just finding her footing on the turf having made only 5 starts on the grass. Today may not be her day but she plenty of room to improve during the year.

PP 15 - 18/1 GRIP TIGHT(IRE) ID# 176502O Osbourne ( 105 - 35 - 23 - 15 - 33% )

4 Year Old Filly (MONTJEU (IRE) x MR. PROSPECTOR x NIJINSKY II)

Grip Tight represents the EAAA residency and comes from the Tees stable. She has only finished worse than second twice in her career from 13 starts so she certainly is a talented filly. As a three year old she won two graded stakes at 10 furlongs so todays distance will not be a problem. She had an easy prep for todays race winning an allowance race gate to wire with a 96 speed figure. She was able to rate in the G1 Down Under Oaks and I think for her to have a chance in todays race she will need to use that same tactic with all the other speed in todays race.

PP 16 - 7/1 KEVORKIAN(KY) ID# 145063N Bonus ( 39 - 4 - 1 - 5 - 10% )

5 Year Old Mare (FUSAICHI PEGASUS x NORTHERN DANCER x BUCKFINDER)

Kevorkian represents the Hong Kong Racing Club residency and comes from the stable of Selurnivek. Her last four starts have all been at 10 furlongs and she hasnt finished worse than third in those races with three of those races being graded stakes. This mare likes to close which should be a good style for todays race but she just doesnt seem to have that will to win. Instead she looks to make that late run but then just hold on for second or third. She is certainly talented enough to win todays race but needs to find that ability to cross the wire first.

PP 17 - 22/1 SHAKIN'(KY) ID# 41264L Jenkins ( 103 - 27 - 22 - 15 - 26% )

4 Year Old Filly (SHAKESPEARE x KINGMAMBO x DEPUTY MINISTER)

Shakin represents the Universal Racing Club residency and comes from the Jacklad2 stable. She has won her last three races since being shortened to 9.5 to 10 furlong races and each time increased her speed figure. The competition has only been allowance but she has been doing it in easy fashion and if she can duplicate those performances today she will certainly be in the mix for the top spot. Its always hard to predict if the horse can make that allowance to graded stakes level jump though.

PP 18 - 9/2 K'S MASTERPIECE(KY) ID# 110785 F Gossett (104 - 27 - 19 - 18 - 26%)

6 Year Old Mare (GHOSTZAPPER x NIJINSKY II x SEATTLE SLEW)

Stuck in the outside post is our favorite and other 2009 eclipse award winner. Ks Masterpiece represents the Hispano Parlante residency and comes from the stable of Ledwith. She had a spectacular 2009 racing season winning two grade 1 races and only finishing worse than 3rd one time which came in the biggest race of the season, the Breeders Bowl F&M Turf. Today, she is looking for revenge against her younger rival Vengeance of Pain. She is one of the few horses who elected to not have a prep in the new year so we will see how that strategy works out today though her last race out was a commanding win the G1 DCPD Devils Slide Handicap where she earned a 114 speed figure.

Handicappers Picks:

First off, good luck to all the entries and residencies. This is my first equinics that I am apart of and it looks like a tremendous amount of work to put together but looks well worth the effort.

I will keep my picks short since its late and I forgot what I wrote about the first half of the field which I wrote yesterday. Ill try #5 Depth Charger over #15 Grip Tight with #16 Kevorkian finishing third. Its impossible to pick these kind of races anyway as there are several good horses in todays field

1st: 5

2nd: 15

3rd: 16
