Grade I A mile and one half Fast Dirt $1,000,000 All horses, 4 years old and up -- RESTRICTED TO PARTICULAR OWNERS Race 4 at Vermont brings us the YEARNING TO BREATHE FREE for 4yos over the mile and a half. A very strong bunch of candidates have been selected by the residances in what could prove to be the best individual race of the Equinics. In fact, one of the horses I've given a huge wrap on has come out at 26/1 in pre post odds by the bookies. The field is a mixture of experienced, up and coming, class, and battlers. But whatever else they may be they are all potential winners of this race. Good luck to all, because I have a feelingluck may play a major role here. FORM | NAME | JOCKEY | 8432 | LAZUR(TUR) | K YOUNGBLOOD | | | | (Mountain Cat x Aptitude x Affirmed). Only one start over this distance for an easy win, and best performance of career (109), in a 3yo open allowance. Last time out was a very nice 2nd over 11F in the EXBOURNE'S ALERT Special Stakes . LAZUR was very well supported that day suggesting very confident stable backing. This is by far his toughest test but have noticed a gradual improvement in form and we'll be watching for any betting moves emanating from the stable and residency. | | | | | | | FORM | NAME | JOCKEY | 6411 | LOST REMOTE(FR) | O KOPPER | | | | (Lesotho x Caro(Ire) x Be My Guest). This horse has built an extremely impressive dirt resume having won 66.67% of the time. In doing this he is unbeaten at the 12F. He won the SHAKEY LEGS Challenge at his last start beating ZIYAN . Overall he has 5 stakes wins, tends to string wins together when in form, and now has 2 in a row. Seems like a horse with a lot of potential, but like a few others in this will find this his toughest test. | | | | | | | FORM | NAME | JOCKEY | 5741 | GO THE OX(IRE) | K PROEHL | | | | (Holy Roman Emporer x Raise A Cup x Biscay(Aus)). The horse has never run the distance, however shocked everyone by winning the Group 1 LONE STAR CLASSIC last time out (108) over 10F. Beat 9 other Group winners in the race including DEMECO (winner of $5.8m). The Ox's style of racing looks to suit the 12F and could well shock them all again. | | | | FORM | NAME | JOCKEY | 5112 | A FLEET SECRET(KY) | M GRUNHARD | | | | (Afleet Alex x Pulpit x Storm Cat). A FLEET SECRET is a multi allowance winner having 4 allowance wins to his credit. His best ever performance was last time out as 4yo (103sp, 10.5F), beating a Group winner in MAGPIE FEVER that day. Although no starts at this distance it certainly appears it will suit. A nice 4yo showing a fair amount of potential. | | | | | | | FORM | NAME | JOCKEY | 0283 | CLASH CITY ROCKER(GB) | S KRATCH | | | | (Beat Hollow(GB) x Deputy Minister x Kingmambo). CLASH CITY ROCKER has a good record over this distance having run 8 times for 4 wins and 3 placings. He has a Group placing over 13F last prep in the GALLANT SOCKS running an impressive 113 speed rating. Last start was 3rd over this distance in allowance company in a nice lead up to this race. Yet another with a chance here. | | | | | | | FORM | NAME | JOCKEY | 4212 | DAIJIRO KATO(KY) | B COATES | | | | (El Prado(Ire) x Roberto x Round Table). DAIJIRO KATO has run the 12F on 3 occassions for 2 2nd places. His career best performance was a very good win in an allowance just 2 starts back over 11F. Won fairly easily with a 110sp. It has only been out of the money once in it's 28 run career. Although by far it's biggest test, this model of consistancy could be the smokey of the field. | | | | | | | FORM | NAME | JOCKEY | 2214 | POTES(ENG) | Q SIMIEN | | | | (Selkirk x Peintre Celebre(Ire) x Woodman). Hasn't run 12f, but has recorded 3 stake wins, and a Group 2 placing. Last start he ran out of ground in Group 2 THE SCRUB over 9F. Most of the time he doesn't get too far back in the running, so you could expect him to be up there at some stage in the straight. Consistantly good 100+ speed getter and is fitter for this. Fast! | | | | | | | FORM | NAME | JOCKEY | 4412 | MY DESTINY(KY) | J WHITE | | | | (Empire Maker x Secretariat x Mr. Prospector). MY DESTINY has recorded 1win from 1 at 12F. The form of this horse has improved as he's matured and hit a distance range he appreciates. Career best performance was a head 2nd in the NORTH COUNTRY DERBY (105) over 11F as a 3yo beating a fine horse in CORINNA (a Group winner and winner of $1.6m). Undoubted ability and it's consistancy brings it into consideration. | | | | FORM | NAME | JOCKEY | 1115 | LUCKY'S MOOLAH(KY) | B F ABMAN | | | | (Empire Maker x Sadler's Wells x Seattle Slew). Another with an impressive strike rate having won 50% of it's starts on dirt. Over the 12F though he has had 4 starts for 3 wins including the LIGHT PAN Special (96 as 3yo). LUCKY's MOOLAH is a multiple stakes winner having won 5. Last time out ran out of steam in a fast run 8.5F allowance. Fitter now and distance suits much better. | | | | | | | FORM | NAME | JOCKEY | 3880 | ANDREW JOHN(KY) | P HAYNES | | | | (A.P. Indy x Sadler's Wells x Seeking The Gold). It's not every day when you find a horse that debuted with a speed rating of 99. This is one. In fact his worst performance ever still produced an 87 sp. ANDREW JOHN has started over 12F 5 times on dirt for 2 placings. He has been freshened up after his last start failure in G1 DPCD VIII TOPICOUNT Special. He has been sparingly raced and his best recent run was 3rd in the Group 3 FALL Championship (running 113) , but has also a very nice 2nd in the Group 1 SMACKDOWN FIVE to his credit, beating 6 other Group winners in that race (112). Looks very classy, and brilliantly bred, and has to be a big show. Disregard his current form. | | | | | | | FORM | NAME | JOCKEY | 0233 | CHIEF ACCOUNT(JPN) | N LAWTON | | | | (Silver Charm x Chief's Crown x Private Account). CHIEF ACCOUNT has run 2 starts at this distance for 1win and 1placing. He is a light grey former claimer horse who, thankfully for YEUNGLING wasn't claimed. CHIEF ACCOUNT has gone on to win one and place a couple of times in stakes races as well as becoming a multi allowance winner. Just lately has been running some very nice races, without a little luck, finishing in the places in two stakes races and running fast times, including a 111sp in an open allowance. | SUMMARY In the spirit of the horse Olympics this looks like Kentucky versus the world in the breeding stakes. 8 of the 18 have been bred from Kentucky, but enough banter. This race contains some of the best performed horses in the sim over the past 12 months or so, it also contains some very impressive 'young guns', fresh horses on the scene looking to climb the rankings and test themselves. VINFINITY in my unbiased eye looks the winner, but there is going to be some stiff opposition from the likes of FUSILLY JERRY, CHASE THE SKY, MARK ANTONY, LUCKYs MOOLAH, and CLASH CITY ROCKER while not forgeting those with prolific win rates like LOST REMOTE, MY DESTINY and CHIEFACCOUNT. IF pushed I will pick VINFINITY to beat MARK ANTONY with CHASETHE SHY to fill the placings. However, in my biased opinion, GO THE OX!! , and GOQUEENSLAND!!
